Calif kernel exploit

Anna Groza is aiming to publish an exploit and write-up. opa334 describes a path to broader Dopamine support on A12 and A13. The code and exact support matrix are still pending.

Observed

  • Anna Groza (@pwnlambda) said on November 3 that she is aiming to release the iOS kernel read/write exploit and write-up within roughly a week.
  • opa334 separately said he expects to extend Dopamine to the exploit’s supported versions on A12/A13 using momentarius. He said A14 and newer still need an SPTM bypass.

Assessment

This is a concrete publication plan with a jailbreak maintainer’s explanation of where the result could fit. A kernel read/write primitive would offer substantially more capability than a crash reproducer. The practical effect still depends on the released implementation and its exact support.

Limits

  • The announcement is a release target, not a published exploit or a fixed jailbreak release date.
  • The source, final device/build matrix, and independent reproduction remain pending in this review.
  • The announcement does not establish that the upcoming exploit is the public AppleAVE2 temporal-layer PoC. Shared research credit does not establish an identical bug or primitive.
