Observed
- Calif posted a three-minute video on November 3 captioned “Lockdown Mode helps, until it doesn’t.” The video shows tweak behavior, an update/reboot sequence, and the behavior returning afterward.
- MacRumors reports the device as an iPhone 18 Pro and describes the initial delivery as a PDF accepted through AirDrop.
Assessment
Surviving an update can matter even when the original entry point has been patched. The observed sequence supports a persistence demonstration on the shown setup; it does not identify the mechanism that restores the behavior.
Limits
- The video does not establish a fresh compromise of a stock device already running iOS 27.2.
- No public implementation, persistence mechanism, or complete support matrix was verified.
- The public demo was reviewed through its visible sequence. It has not been independently reproduced here.
