Version 0.2.3 adds persistent Wi-Fi credentials and SFTP. The preceding release added optional kernel-task access. The tethered boot and hardware limits still define the project.
- Capability
- Patched boot; kernel access
- Device & build
- Base iPhone 11 (n104ap); documented builds through iOS 27.2 24B119
- Primary artifact
- Release v0.2.3

- Reviewed
Watching for
Expanded SEP, passcode, or cellular support.
Observed
- v0.2.3 adds SFTP/SCP in normal boot and Wi-Fi password persistence across reboots without SEP.
- v0.2.2 added an optional tfp0 boot patch. Published run notes document kernel reads and writes to a scratch allocation on 27.2 build 24B119, including a repeat boot.
- The current README labels the base iPhone 11 as tested. The 11 Pro and Pro Max profiles remain experimental despite the broader wording in the release notes.
Assessment
The published code and run notes make this useful as a specialized research environment. Kernel access comes from a patched boot workflow built on usbliter8; it does not demonstrate a new app-to-kernel exploit on a stock running system.
Limits
- Every boot requires the tethered Mac/DFU workflow. Setup includes an erase restore.
- SEP, passcode, and cellular data remain documented limitations. Calls and SMS rely on Wi-Fi Calling in the described setup.
- The published write test uses scratch kernel memory. It does not establish writes to SPTM-protected memory.
- Source and supplied run notes were reviewed; this setup has not been independently run here.
